+At a young age he was showing his water elemental magic prowess, by flooding the kitchen with water. When [[npc:Pharos Pharao]] passed the village, Loprina asked this great sorcerer to take over raising him. Pharos agreed and stayed in the village while training him.

+When he was 9 years Pharos and him, fought [[npc:Bromi Plectospor]], a fungril that was causing death and destruction, in order to make more fungi grow. Bromi, however, managed to escape that fight and is currently unknown. This led to Ribby strongly wanting to protect nature against people like Bromi. This also caused Pharos to decide it was time to leave the village.

During this battle, Yarbul lost an arm and an ear. This caused Yarbul to retire from travelling. Many others lost their life. Ribby, who had fought mostly from the backline, had never seen this much death and destruction.
